This is the first of a series of 4 seminars organized by Next Generation Global Studies and the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies on the theme  Breaking boundaries, borders and walls: What role for universities?
In this seminar two projects led by NGOs in partnership with universities will be presented and discussed with participants.
Manuela Verduci will present the work of Kiron Open Higher Education, an NGO which offers tailor-made curricula of MOOCs to refugees which are recognized by partner universities. Casper van der Heijden will present the Sharing Perspectives Foundation (SPF), an NGO dedicated to providing students and academics from across the globe with an opportunity to collaboratively study contemporary themes through virtual exchange. SPF are currently running an exchange about Refugees with the participation of over 300 students and refugees across Europe and beyond.
