Winter School
This is the first Global Studies Winter School organized by the Department of Political and Juridical Science and International Studies (SPGI). The Winter School is an intensive 5-day course, which brings together international scholars and students from a range of disciplines and geo-cultural background to discuss “the spaces and times of globalization”. The general aim of this intensive course is to contribute to the development of a critical approach to prevailing representations of global space and time whereby Western modernity is still seen as the standard against which every other form of civilization is measured. Notions of diversity and plurality, approaches to ‘glocality’ and contributions from southern theories and perspectives are characterizing features of this course.
The general programme is available here.
