This is a call for participation in the Winter School Times and Spaces of Globalization 2016. This year’s theme is ‘Necessary translations for global understanding’ and it will be addressed, in the tradition of Next Generation Global Studies, through an interdisciplinary approach.
The call is open to master and PhD students, as well as other interested individuals. A maximum of 20 participants will be admitted. The organizers aim to guarantee a diversity of participants on the basis of geo-cultural background, discipline of study and gender. There is no registration fee for the Winter School but participants are required to cover their own travel and accommodation costs (in University Residence. Reservations will be arranged by the organizers).
PhD students who are carrying out research on themes related to the Winter School are invited to present their research, if they wish, and to discuss it in one of the sessions when senior discussants will comment on participants’ projects. If you are interested in this possibility please submit a 250-word abstract with your application. An extended abstract is expected two weeks prior to the winter school.
Applicants are asked to complete the online application form and attach a motivation letter, a curriculum vitae in pdf format, reference letter as well as a copy of their last degree certificate and passport.
Deadline for submission of applications is 15th December 2015.
Accepted applicants will be notified by 20th December 2015.
